It was the only place she ever belonged
the only place where her troubles melted away due to his warm embrace,
that same embrace would've made a big earthquake feel like a slight shake.

They both knew her mother would walk in for her hourly check any minute
with some excuse like 'you kids hungry', but this time they didn't move.
'I dont care' she whispered 'it wont hurt her to see the truth'.
'whats the worst she could do anyway?' he agreed
'well she could kick you out of the house, screaming un-holy things at you, but i'd follow you.
I'd follow you anywhere'.
'As I would you' his grasp didn't loosen as they listened to the nearing footsteps.

Was his promise to her.
He promised her alot of things,
sometimes the promises were kept and sometimes they wernt.
This was a prime example of when they were broken.
'Her lips taste like honey' he thought whilst their lips moved in sync
with eachother, as if they'd done this a thousand and one times.
who would have guessed this was their first kiss?
'I've never had honey before' he said whilst looking straight into her eyes giving nothing away.
She knew exactly what he meant she blushed a light pink that took control of her cheeks, she wished she hadn't drunk that warm mug of honey and milk earlier.
A smile broke across his face, 'Guess I've Been Missing Out' he kissed her this time, starting off a new sequence. the wish she made quickly dissapeared.
Thats all it ever was to him, just a paper heart, that could be easily torn in half with no mess.
But what he didn't see was the blood that leaked from the 'tear' as if someone had actually stabbed her several times.
They were still the shy seventeen year olds experiencing everything together, they wern't that much older but their love was more real than most couples who had just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. When they looked into eachothers eyes they saw everything, all past memories: the good and the bad, the present: what was happening right now which would forever remain the most important day of their life and the future: which they couldn't contain the many mixed emotions towards.

It was random, but all those memories of the two of them riding through the country feeling free and adventurous started filling her head. A slight smile started to form, it would have been believable if her eyes matched her mouth. 'They were such good times' she hadn't realised she said her thought aloud untill she saw him look at her from the corner of her eye. 'Yes, they were' he whispered with the same smile forming and the exact same memories playing through his head.
He and She
'Should one of us remember, And One of us forget, I wish I knew what each will do - But who can tell as yet?'
'Should one of us remember, And one of us forget, I promise you what I will do - And I'm content to wait for you, And not be sure as yet.'
